Planning Underway for Prime of Life Expo
June 15, 2018
The 7th Annual Prime of Life Expo will be held on August 28, 9am – 2pm at the Hickory Metro Convention Center. The new hosting agency of the Prime of Life Expo, United Church Homes and Services (UCHS), along with Senior Information Resources (SIR) and the Catawba County Chamber, will present this event to engage older adults and caregivers in the region. The event is currently seeking vendors to participate at the show to display their products and service. Anyone who would like to reach the older adult and caregiver market is encouraged to participate.
“We are thrilled to be hosting the Prime of Life Expo,” shared Joy Cline, Chief Marketing Officer/United Church Homes and Services. “When approached by SIR and the Chamber to fulfill this role, UCHS felt it fulfilled a vital part of our mission – offering diverse programs of outreach. There is no other event in the region that will bring this many vendors and seniors together to share knowledge of services and products available to them.”
The 2018 Prime of Life Expo will offer a platform to connect seniors with needed services to thrive in our community. With the theme, “This Life is About to Get Wild”, the expo will offer fun and engaging opportunities with a goal of surpassing the previous attendance of 2,000. The event would not be possible without the support of these sponsors: Catawba Regional Hospice, Hickory Daily Record, Trinity Ridge/Trinity Village, Abernethy Laurels, Catawba Valley Medical Center, Frye Regional Medical Center, Home Instead Senior Care, Catawba County, Gentiva Home Health/Kindred at Home, Brookdale Falling Creek/Brookdale Hickory NE, Life Transitions, Bath Fitter, Catawba Valley Living at Rock Barn, PACE at Home, The Wheelchair Place, Adult Life Programs, and Century 21/American Homes.
