UCHS Team Attends LeadingAge NC Conference

May 10, 2016

Members of the United Church Homes and Services leadership team, Lee Syria, Aimee Reimann, Gary Shull and Doug Russell (Piedmont Crossing) are attending LeadingAge NC's 60th annual conference in Myrtle Beach, SC.  This year's conference theme is, Be the Difference.  Be the Difference is a build on last year’s LeadingAge NC conference - Be the Voice. Last year’s theme was about the importance of speaking up and standing up. This year, it’s about walking the talk, standing out as a leader of aging services and not just saying you’re different but truly being different as a person and as an organization. It’s also an opportunity to highlight the importance of the not for profit difference which is so essential to our brands.

LeadingAge North Carolina is the state’s only association representing continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) and affordable housing providers. With an estimated economic impact of $1.7 billion in 2014, these communities employ more than 14,000 staff.

United Church Homes & Services, a not-for-profit corporation located in Newton, NC, operates three continuing care retirement communities, a PACE (Program for All-inclusive Care for the Elderly), and seven affordable senior housing communities across North Carolina and Virginia.
