Give Kids a Coat
February 1, 2018
Carolina SeniorCare will serve as a collection site for Give a Kid a Coat, a program soliciting coat donations to donate to less fortunate children and adults throughout the Piedmont area. Collections will be taken now through February 9.
Last year, the program collected 22,042 coats for families in need. Collected items are given to The Salvation Army for distribution.
Carolina SeniorCare is one of several collection sites within the Piedmont area. Items may be dropped off in the lobby any time between 9am to 4pm. “We are excited to participate in the Give a Kid a Coat program again this year,” shared Sibert Lewis, Director of Activities. “Our participants and staff enjoy giving back and showing support for our neighbors.”
Carolina SeniorCare located at 802 East Center Street, Lexington, NC serves seniors in Davidson, Rowan, Davie and Iredell counties. Currently enrolling for the fall, Carolina SeniorCare is under the sponsorship of United Church Homes and Services (UCHS), a not-for-profit ministry offering senior housing and services for over 45years, located in Newton, NC.
