Supportive Senior Housing communities are a key part of the ministry of United Church Homes and Services and a great residential opportunity for lower income older adults. More than just "a place to live", each is a warm and inviting community providing comfortable apartments with supportive services. Covenant Place

Covenant Place, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina,  was conceived through a partnership with United Church of Chapel Hill, Covenant United Church of Christ in Carrboro and United Church Homes and Services (UCHS) in Newton, NC. The forty-two unit apartment building opened in 1998 and has been operated by UCHS since that time. Covenant Place has aided hundreds of residents by providing supportive housing made possible by HUD's 202 program and dedicated community partnerships. Their forty-two apartments help meet a great need for affordable, safe and supportive housing by seniors.

NOAH

NOAH (New Bern Older Adult Housing) offers apartment housing in a residential neighborhood convenient to shopping and medical offices. NOAH, in New Bern, North Carolina, is a supportive housing program funded by HUD for seniors (62 +) with limited income. Each one bedroom apartment has a full kitchen, lots of storage and a large bay window. If you're looking for safe and supportive affordable housing, NOAH is a great choice.

Emmanuel's Place

Emmanuel's Place in Statesville, NC offers a supportive housing community designed as a neighborhood cluster. All apartments are ground floor with outdoor space and lots of windows. Emmanuel's Place residents are fortunate to be close to everything Statesville has to offer. A ministry of United Church Homes and Services, it has been a warm and welcoming residence for seniors since 2002.

St. Joseph Place

St. Joseph's Place in Durham is a partnership between United Church Homes and Services and St. Joseph's AME Church conveniently located next door. As a HUD supported program, St. Joseph's provides affordable housing in lovely one bedroom apartments for seniors. Resident's enjoy privacy and security with friendly support if needed. An abundance of common space, a library, kitchen and laundry facilities are located on-site.

Matthew's Place

Matthew's Place, Albemarle's supportive housing community, offers apartment living in a neighborhood setting for older adults (62+) with limited income. Amenities include large living spaces, fully equipped kitchens and screened porches in each apartment building. Matthew's place is a ministry of United Church Homes and Services and Albemarle Older Adult Housing.

The Willows

The Willows in Burlington, NC, first opened in 1998 and was originally conceived as an outreach of the First Reformed United Church of Christ which is next door. The Willows has been home to hundreds of residents since it opened in 1998 and has enjoyed an excellent reputation as a supportive housing community. With 40 one bedroom apartments, a laundry area, library, lounge and lots of gathering spaces, The Willows represents supportive housing that warmly welcomes all its residents.
