Where is Centerclair?
Centerclair is conveniently located in a residential neighborhood, just less than one mile from Interstate 85 at exit 96 in Lexington, North Carolina. What makes Centerclair unique? Centerclair, built in 1962 has a long history of quality care and dependable service in the community. Our affiliation with United Church Homes and Services means we are part of a not for profit ministry dedicated to meeting the needs of older adults. Centerclair provides both intermediate and skilled nursing care by qualified professional staff. What kind of activity program does Centerclair have? Centerclair provides plants, animals and a relaxing, family oriented environment with plenty of outdoor space, a nature trail and gardens. We have two whisper glide swings that bring out the child in everyone. Indoors, Centerclair provides individual and group activities that include family members whenever possible. Residents enjoy visiting with friends and family in their comfortably decorated rooms or in one of our bright and inviting sitting areas. Kid's Only, our on-site day care center, gives Centerclair residents a unique opportunity to enjoy regular interaction with young children. Local and regional outings are made possible with our wheelchair equipped vehicle, used regularly for picnics, tours, and special event trips. What kind of health care is available? Centerclair has a physician Medical Director on staff who closely follows the medical needs of our residents. Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy are provided to residents who can benefit from these services. In addition, Podiatry and Optometry services are available. Centerclair staff communicates regularly with each resident's physician to ensure continuity of care. Care planning is an important aspect of each resident's stay at Centerclair and family members are invited to participate in this process. Does Medicare cover the cost of care at Centerclair? Under certain circumstances, Medicare will cover a portion of the cost of skilled care. Each admission is reviewed individually for possible eligibility. Centerclair staff can help answer questions about Medicare and other insurance coverage. What about Medicaid? Centerclair does accept Medicaid and generally, Medicaid will cover long term care for eligible residents. Who should I call for more information?
